I posted this almost a year ago at the usdx github projcet and got redirected to these boards. I hope somebody can help.
In the mean time I upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS.
Actual behaviour
Singing into the microphone is registered by the program with a big delay. You can see the visualization of the sung pitch freezes or updates only every few seconds (in the game itself, when you sing a song or also in the Options/Record screen).
This also influences the score of your singing, as the program counts the frozen pitch. So this isn't only a visual issue.
Expected behaviour
There should be no freeze/delay.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the ultrastardx program
- Start the game by choosing a song or open Tools/Options/Record
- Sing/Speak into the microphone
- Notice the frozen pitch visualization at the singing screen or the Assigned Player option.

- USDX version: 2020 4.1 dev
- Operating System + version: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS
- I noticed this bug happened only since I updated my operating system (from Ubuntu 18) to Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS at the beginning of this year. The problem still persists with 20.04.5 LTS.
