I recently did a fresh install of Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS for my Dell Precision 5570. I had a ton of problems I encountered when installing Ubuntu like only being able to install it using safe graphics mode. Even after installing, there would be random periods (less then 20 minutes from startup) using it that the entire screen will freeze up and the only way to fix the issue was by hard resetting by using the power button. After attempting multiple solutions I found that changing my graphics driver from Nouveau display driver to nvidia-driver-510, fixed this problem. Now my laptop works almost perfectly, except these missing media buttons. It seems to happen on only Ubuntu software UI like the file folders or system pop-ups. I was wondering if anyone has a solution to this? I want to say it is probably related to the graphics driver I switched to, but if I switch back my computer is essentially unusable.
As you can see here there are many items from the GUI that are missing.
