I'm using HP ProBook 430 G3 and running Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, Processor i5 and Graphics on board Mesa Intel HD Graphics 520 (SKL GT2)
On a 4k external monitor, it's very stressful and difficult to read the content in browser as it appears very small, therefore I either want to scale / zoom it like I could in Windows 10 or lower the resolution, but not able to do that.
I checked a few answers on the forum including the following: Unable to set my screen resolution higher
I've a different challenge than above solution, I connected a ViewSonic 4k monitor to HP ProBook laptop on HDMI, The problem is I can't set it to 1920x1080 or any other resolution than the default 3840x2160, on this high resolution everything looks too small, difficult to read. If I change the scale to 200%, it only scales the system windows and not the apps like browser and the content in it. This scaling / zooming works well with the 3840x2160 on Windows 10.
Best,
Edited, Thanks to guiverc for the pointer, my bad I missed the important point. Thanks again
