I use a website app inside my company which has restricted use—for security reasons—to my home static IP address. Is there a way to “borrow” my home IP address on my laptop whenever I am away from home, so I don’t have to use a TeamViewer to do my work? Some kind of tunnel or proxy using my home desktop PC.

Is this website app you are using something you made yourself or something you have purchases that can only—for some odd reason—be used with your home IP address? If this is something you developed on your own, the IP address should just be tied to `localhost` and not a specific IP address. – Giacomo1968 Jan 15 '18 at 21:55

It's an app we use inside my company. It is tied to my home address for safety, to prevent random outside access. – Biker John Jan 15 '18 at 22:02

Ahhh… Okay, that makes sense. Nope. You simply can’t “borrow” you home IP address and just make it magically float out there. Any solution would be some kind of remote desktop… Unless a VPN from somewhere else to your home PC is possible? – Giacomo1968 Jan 15 '18 at 22:11

@Jake, my FRTIZ!Box consumer-grade modem has VPN built-in, allowing me to use my home IP address from anywhere in the world. But in this case, the OP better talk to their boss instead. – Arjan Jan 15 '18 at 22:15

I use teamviewer but it is not very comfortable with that double scrollbars @arjan why should i talk to my boss since it is my personal home address? – Biker John Jan 15 '18 at 22:26

1[This question](https://superuser.com/questions/402223/how-to-route-internet-connection-through-teamviewers-vpn) might be useful in extending TeamViewer's VPN to achieve what you want – MC10 Jan 15 '18 at 23:08
