I am receiving multiple SQUASHFS errors when installing Ubuntu 22.04 and 20.04 when using the front-side USB ports of my new PC. (Same errors as described here)
However, using a rear-side USB port (on the same machine), I was able to install 22.04 and 20.04 without any errors.
It's important to note that I used the front-side USB ports to burn the images onto the drives. The ports seem to work fine (outside the issue at hand) and I am able to detect the drives connected to them.
Both image files were verified using the SHA256 checksums.
The specific ISO files are the standard versions (ubuntu-22.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso, and ubuntu-20.04.5-desktop-amd64.iso)
This is on a brand-new machine (MinisForum TH50).
I am concerned this might be a hardware related issue (possibly a defect), but I am unsure how to go about diagnosing it. If any could point me to a solution or guide me in diagnosing this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Please let me know of any additional info required.
