So I've got an extremely irritating problem with my home theatre PC. My basic setup is this:

PC ---> DisplayPort ---> Monitor

PC ---> HDMI ---> Denon AVR-S960H ---> HDMI ---> LG OLED 4k TV

My issue is this: When all of the above components are powered on, everything works fine. However, as soon as the TV is switched off, I no longer have audio, and the AVR is considered switched off in Windows sound settings. Switching the AVR on and off does not fix the issues, nor does changing any HDMI settings on the AVR (pass-through, Simplink/CEC, etc).

It appears that Windows considers the AVR powered off if the TV connected to it is powered off, even if the AVR is still on. The only way to have sound from PC without powering on the TV is to completely unplug EVERYTHING (PC, AVR, TV), and the plug ONLY the PC and AVR back on. From there, audio on the PC is functional again. However, if I plug the TV back in, the problem appears once more.

So what I'm wondering is whether there is some way to "trick" Windows into thinking the TV is powered on, even when it isn't.
