When I use Remote Desktop to connect to a target computer, the target computer's monitors lock and the desktop cannot be viewed locally. Only the computer the computer that initiated the Remote Desktop session can see the target computer's desktop. How can I display the target computer's desktop on the target computer's monitors while the target computer is being controlled by Remote Desktop? There are use cases when I use Remote Desktop to connect to a remote target computer and I want the users at the target computer to be able to monitor what is being displayed on the desktop.

MS RDC only allows one session at a time. You either need the Server version, or a hack, or another Remote structure, VNC etc. See https://superuser.com/questions/250473/concurrent-remote-desktop-in-windows-with-multiple-session-support?rq=1 and https://superuser.com/questions/442882/does-windows-allow-multiple-remote-logins-to-the-same-account-at-the-same-time?noredirect=1&lq=1 – Tetsujin Dec 18 '22 at 10:44
