I don't know whether there's a duplicated question or not but I've been search this for a long time.

The problem is that all the icons of the same application is stacked into one icon, so I need several steps to select to minimize or maximize the window I want, is there any way to unstack the icons like Windows 7/10 ?

Or can anyone confirm that there's no way to do this?

  • I'm not a gnome user, so may be missing what you're after. It sounds to me like you want to configure the dash-to-dock gnome extension (https://micheleg.github.io/dash-to-dock/settings.html), or if it doesn't do what you want, replace it with another that does what you want. There are con's to replacing & going beyond what Ubuntu has provided. – guiverc May 05 '19 at 07:23
  • Thank you @guiverc, I tried this extension, however I didn't find the setting for doing this. Thank you all the same. – Woods Chen May 05 '19 at 07:45
