Ubuntu loads and works fine but prior to fully loading I get a few lines of error messages.

I've tried a couple of solutions for the dev sda2 error message and bios error message, but they didnt bring any benefit.

For the dev sda2 error I tried purging and reinstalling nvidia drivers as mentioned here

"dev/sda1: clean, ..." This message appears after I startup my laptop, then it won't continue booting

for the bios error I tried setting GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT to 'quiet splash loglevel=3' as mentioned here https://www.linux.org/threads/acpi-error-after-installing-ubuntu-22-04.40993/

To note: this happens even after formatting Ubuntu with USB and choosing the erase disk option

If I don't remember correctly, the problem started even prior to upgrading to 22.04, and would keep persisting even after going back to 20.04

  • The loglevel=3 trick worked for me, but in my system these started after a 20.04 kernel update. https://askubuntu.com/q/1411354/243321 – Organic Marble Sep 05 '22 at 12:33
