I had three partitions, one with Ubuntu 22.04 (my daily drive), an old Ubuntu 20.04 partition and a Windows 11 partition. I deleted the old Ubuntu 20.04 parition, as well as the Windows 11 partition and allocated all the free space to the Ubuntu 22.04 partition.

Despite that, booting into Ubuntu 20.04 and into Windows 11 still appear as options in the GRUB menu.

I have found one answer:

GRUB shows Windows boot loader even after deleting Windows partitions

But it's more than 5 years old and it only covers the Windows partition. Will it still work and what has to be done about the old Ubuntu partition?

Thanks

You can also try ```sudo update-grub``` and see if that helps. os-prober has been disabled in update-grub so I'm not sure if that will work or not, but it's worth a try. – Pranai Rao Sep 14 '22 at 15:05
