Whenever I execute the command sudo apt update it gives me the following error:

E: The repository 'https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/micahflee/ppa/ubuntu jammy Release'
does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by
 default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

Can somebody kindly provide a solution for this?

  • PPAs are 3rd party software sources; so all security checks are your responsibility. A quick look at https://launchpad.net/~micahflee/+archive/ubuntu/ppa would show only releases up to *focal* or 20.04 were supported (not jammy or 22.04!) and the clue "*Sorry, there's no software in this PPA at the moment.*" from the maintainer would have had me not add it anyway... What checks did you perform? *FYI: all this detail was gained by opening the link in your provided question*... – guiverc Nov 03 '22 at 21:48
