I did install gnome-applets and now would like to add one of the applets to the panel. But I don't find any way to do that.
I first tried a simple click on the panel. Then a right click. Then a middle click. Searching for solutions I found the recommendations to use "Alt-Rightclick" or "Superkey-Alt-Rightclick". Nothing works ...
(I have a laptop and use the touchpad. In other contexts the substitutes for left click, right click, middle click work well.)
Any other suggestions? I would be more than happy to edit a configuration file BTW ...
