I have laptop with 16GB soldered memory and 1TB SSD M2. used for half year swap of 16GB. but then I started to get memory errors and OS crashes. after removing swap everything works fine without any errors.

My latptop has 2 slots for ssd m2 drivers. is it possible to install small ssd (for example 250GB) and put swap file to this driver without affecting the main 1TB driver with linux system?

  • Ubuntu should be able to use swap partitions no matter where they are. It is a good idea to confirm swap path if shown in /etc/fstab. – C.S.Cameron Jan 11 '23 at 05:51
