I am running Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on a Ryzen 7,my acpitz sensor acpi0 has been fried in a spark from a crooked battery reconnect. In /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/mode I can change 'enabled' to 'disabled', but it is not persistent. I need to disable this; I tried kernel parameter acpi=off, but I need the other features this disables. I just want to permanently disable acpitz_acpi0. I tried kernel paramaters thermal.off=1 and thermal.nocrt=1 that do not disable acpitz; thermal modprobe -r thermal tells me the module is a builtin. How would I permanently disable acpi0 thermal zone? Its affecting my hardware.
$ acpi -t
Thermal 0: critical, 255.0 degrees C
