  • Please check your details; Ubuntu 20.04 was available using the 5.4 kernel, 20.04.2 with 5.8, 20.04.3 with 5.11, 20.04.4 with 5.13 & 20.04.5 with 5.15. No 20.04 media existed with 5.19 (only 22.10 or 22.04.2 used it) thus your details do **not** match a Lubuntu 20.04 you state. Please check your details. – guiverc Aug 05 '23 at 22:36

    IO errors imply either problems with your installation media (did you verify the ISO as per the Lubuntu manual? https://manual.lubuntu.me/lts/1/1.1/retrieving_the_image.html (22.04 manual), the write of ISO to your USB/flash/install media (did it verify?) OR problems with the media you're installing it to.
