I analyze Natural Gas supply, demand and storage data in order to produce research for gas trading groups. I have been doing this for 18 years. I have a lot of fundamentals based trading algorithms I want to back-test and implement. I have procrastinated on this for over a decade in spit of some systems I identified appearing to have a lot of promise. Now I am trying to apply persistance and self-discipline to my programming so I can finally execute all the ideas I have stuck in my brain. I started learning R almost a year ago and am able to write some programs that have saved me a lot of time and do new things...I am currently trying to learn the quantmod package because I need to show people backtest of different strategies.
