Convincing kids to learn NATO alphabet
I'm trying to make learning of the NATO alphabet interesting for kids. I invite them to spell car plate numbers during vacation with their parents. So both, the kids and the parents will learn the alphabet.

Explain how an antenna works to an 18 year old
It's either math or magic. It seems like the only thing that will explain operation are complex formulas.
If a child were to ask "how does an antenna work" what should one say, it magically changes electricity into invisible photons?
