This only seems to happen when the save file is larger than 7.5 GB. If I do not log in to the guest in the login screen and save state and the save file is less than that, VM will restore fine.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create windows 10 VM
  2. Give it at least 12 GB ram
  3. Start the VM, open a lot of applications to fill up the ram above 10 GB.
  4. Save state using virt-manager(or virsh managedsave vmnamehere
  5. Run sudo ls /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/save/ -lah to verify that the save file is larger than 7.5 GB
  6. Start the VM using virt-manager (or virsh start vmnamehere

VM should resume, but instead proceeds to boot from the begining without any error/logs.

Update 1: Does not seem to be related to the 7.5 GB save file. This only happens to ONLY ONE windows guest. This guest was migrated from Virtualbox (VHD) to qcow2.
