I'm currently experiencing that my system is very laggy in many operations, especially when starting programs.

When I investigate the problem with procmon I can see "holes" in the traces related to the program where it just seems to do nothing. The curious thing is that these pauses seem to be exactly 10 seconds long.

I then went on and took a look with the windows performance toolkit (xperf, etc.) and it looks like for a simple example application (just starting make from cmd.exe) the process for make is started right when I press return but the actual thread is only started almost exactly 10 seconds later.

Any ideas what that could be? Also any hints how I can better analyze this are welcome.

Thanks
