I am going to use a double dash in cross-platform filenames (for Linux, Windows and macOS). Is this safe? For example:

project-abc--extension-xyz--2022-12-09

Thanks for your help.

A "double dash" is not a character *per se*, it's just 2 dashes. And the dash is a valid character for filenames on the 3 OS. So the answer is obviously "yes". – PierU Dec 09 '22 at 09:51
