I'm Dual Booting Windows 10 and Arch on my computer, and I decided to reinstall the second system. The attempt had failed because I've run out of space on EFI partition. I've started searching solutions to move Recovery partition somewhere down the disk, so that I can resize EFI partition with empty space. For this I followed the recommended answer on this link.
I failed to do so, because Re-enabling the new recovery partition resulted in failure, as necessary files have not been written to the new partition. Retracing back my steps, I've noticed that:
- When I mount my recovery partition, it is empty.
- Trying to Capture recovery partition image creates a .WIM files of 1.2kb size.
- Writing that image to newly created partition leaves it empty, so it's only logical
reagentc /setreimagecannot find necessary files. reagentc /infoshows that my recovery is located onpartition4\Recovery\WindowsRE. As far as I can tell these partition should align with partition listed bydiskpart.diskpart list partitionshows that recovery partition is partition 1, whereas partition 4 is my System C: drive. Recovery files are not located inC:\Windows\system32\recovery, but the folder exists containing reagent.xml.
This leads me to a lot of questions! What is going on with my drive, where is my recovery, how can I extend my EFI partition, overall, any tips on this problem is appreciated. I will attach a screenshot of my Disk Management:
I didn't ask questions here for a while, so please, let me know, if something is wrong
