I'm having trouble with an 10 year old WD BLACK HDD, having bad sectors. I run a surface test with Easeus Partition Master and it found 6 bad sectors. https://ibb.co/FswXbVJ
I'm planning to use this drive for not-very-important data so I wish to mark bad sectors (recovering the data is not necessary) and keep using it until it dies.
What I want to know is; Does Easeus mark the bad sectors or just detects them?
(BTW I have detected 3 files that reported I/O errors, [also visible in Windows Event Viewer] and I renamed them as "BAD_SECTOR_PLACEHOLDER_DON'T_DELETE" to keep those bad sectors occupied in case Easeus is not marking them.)
