This extension moves the dash out of the Overview transforming it in a dock for easier launching of applications and faster switching between windows as well as workspaces. The extension provides many options for customizing its appearance and behavior.

Ubuntu dock, the dock used by default in Ubuntu since 17.10, is a Dash to Dock fork with a limited set of configuration options.
